Scientists in the UK say that in about 10 years time they may have developed eye drops that can isolate the faulty gene that degrades and distorts our vision.
The reason they think there has been a rise in vision degradation is apparently due to Urbanization - how people don’t use their eyes to look far into the distance anymore as they are living in built up environments.
I doubt this is the real reason for eye degradation but the idea of an eye drop that can halt the distortion of the eye is a very exciting one. Imagine the possibilities of this kind of technology used for other positive / sinister purposes. Amazing, but scary.
